A small, senior web design studio in Ashford, Kent, building beautiful sites that also convert. No filler, no bloat — just work that pays for itself.
Editorial, considered interfaces with a point of view. We design for attention and for outcomes, not for a template gallery.
Fast, resilient front-ends built the modern way. Clean code, accessible by default, easy for your team to run.
The visual language that makes a site feel inevitable. Type, colour and tone that hold up everywhere, not just the homepage.
Beautiful is table stakes. We ship sites that load instantly and get found, with the metrics to prove it.
We don't disappear at launch. Once the site is signed off and live, you move onto Care — hosting, domain and reasonable amends, with someone still looking after the work.
Core Web Vitals captured live as you read. Not a screenshot, not an average — the page you are on.
Safari does not expose LCP, CLS or INP; Firefox exposes LCP only. Where a metric says “not measurable here”, your browser has no API for it.
Real projects, live links, measured results. Go and check them — that's rather the point.

We are in Ashford, which puts most of Kent inside an hour. Every build includes the Google Business Profile setup that decides whether you appear in the local map pack.
Also covering the villages around each of them — Kennington, Willesborough, Kingsnorth, Great Chart, Mersham, Sevington and the rest. Clients outside Kent are worked with remotely, and always have been. How we work across Kent.
We start with your business, not your homepage. Goals, audience, constraints — the things that decide whether a site works.
Art direction first, then interfaces. We design in the browser early so what you approve is what you get.
Senior hands on the keyboard. Fast, accessible, maintainable front-ends with motion that means something.
We ship carefully, then you move onto Care. Hosting, domain and amends stay with us so the site keeps earning after go-live.
Studio 48 is a boutique web design studio in Ashford, Kent. Small on purpose — you work directly with the people doing the work, senior from first call to final ship.
Every site is designed and coded for you — no themes, no page-builder bloat, no site that looks like ten others in your town.
Beauty and results aren't a trade-off. We refuse to choose between them.
Clear process, honest timelines, and a site your team can actually run.
A one-off build, then £50 a month on Care to keep it running. No setup fees, no surprises.
A single-page or small brochure site. Live in about a fortnight.
The usual choice — a full site, properly set up to be found.
Everything in Standard, plus a CMS so you can run it yourself.
The standard plan after launch — hosting, domain and reasonable amends, so there's nothing else to buy or think about.
Yes. Studio 48 builds custom websites for independent businesses, from a one-page site at £595 to a full site with SEO at £995, or from £1,750 with a CMS. We are a boutique studio in Ashford, Kent, we work across Kent and remotely across the UK, and we publish prices rather than quoting on request. If you want a Wix or Squarespace template, or a large multi-brand platform, we are not the right studio — we design and code each site for the business.
